Inspection, cleaning and maintenance of ventilation ducts and HVAC systems

Hydrauliques R&O Services Inc. also evolves in the field of air ducts and ventilation units cleaning for several years. Our extensive experience guarantees our technical and administrative competency. Our specialists have a diversified expertise, which enables us to provide a complete range of services in connection with indoor air quality analysis, cleaning of ventilation networks and their components and the implementation of a preventive maintenance program for your ventilation equipment.

Cleaning and decontamination

Various equipment and specialized products are used to decontaminate the multiple components of a ventilation network. The latest technology, by which our equipment is characterized, combined with the criteria and the standards defined by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA), give results that are more than satisfactory. The various types and formats of rotary brushes, activated by compressed air and connected to a remotecontrolled robot, remove the contaminants from the walls of the ducts. During this process, a residue collector connected to the duct removes all dust, dirt and pollutants.

Robotized inspection

Robotized inspection is available no matter the size of the air duct. The inspection of the interior of the ducts, using remote-controlled robots equipped with a camera and a video recorder, enables us to visually examine the state of the ducts. This technology makes it possible to produce a video report. We can also capture images from these recordings with a digital camera to produce a photographic report. The video or photographic report also includes a salubrity report, a list of deficiencies, if applicable and our recommendations.

Air quality analysis

Our approach consists of molds identification (kind and species) that are found in the air and dust, as specified in the Canadian Health Guide. We can take samples, upon request, in accordance with methods that are endorsed by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the Institut de recherche en santé et sécurité au travail (IRSST) or the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). The molds identification and bacteria count are carried out by an external laboratory.

The analysis of dust, which is the repercussion of what is found in the air, allows us to understand the activity in mold and in bacteria over a period of time. The expert report we present contains the methods of sampling as well as the analysis methods used, the results obtained, the comments and the recommendations.

A routine analysis can include carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), the relative humidity, the temperature, the ozone, the formaldehyde, the volatile hydrocarbons, the bacteria and molds, the analysis by chromatography gas, or other, according to customer’s requirements.
